Most stores here strictly enforce coupon limits also. I think they have gotten completely burned out with the couponers who are rude, clear shelves, challenge managers in the angry voice, back up lines, etc. I have also noticed cashiers are nastier and like the coupon police, probably because of couponers that try to get away with something they are not legitimately being offered.

It does take a bit longer to process the doublers as their system is not set up to do so but it is well worth it. Last trip with doublers for me grossed plus tax net paid was 63 with tax. If your favorite store does not double coupons it may be time to change where you shop if you find another store which does offer double coupon days. You may decide to split your shopping between several stores. Many drugstores such as CVS and Walgreens now carry items you would normally purchase at the grocery store, but by signing up with their loyalty programs you could more than triple your savings on some items.
Also, many small, independent grocery stores double coupons, but may not have the advertising budget to help get the word out. Safeway doubles coupons in Oregon and SW Washington, but the drive is way too far for you. Unfortunately there are no stores in the Puget Sound area that double coupons.
About min east of Portland BTW. So there are no stores anywhere in Oregon that will double more than 4 coupons in one transactiom? The max limit for stores in the NW is 4 coupons. You can get items for free or even make money off of them. You would just have to do multiple transactions not hard, just takes time. I am also new and very interested in couponing. When they come around they stock up on all the great deals. Also, Grocery Outlet is a good option if there is one near you and then shopping Fred Meyer sales when they are good.
Grocery Outlet does not honor any coupons — ever, and the stock changes from one week to the next.
